guliz gurel
Guliz Gurel is a visual artist working with photography, digital compositing, and painterly intervention. Her practice explores orientation, light, and belief as structures that shape how bodies inhabit space, time, and landscape. Using restrained visual languages, she builds works where devotional rhythm, urban geometry, and natural forms intersect.
Her recent work draws on cyclical systems, such as prayer times, celestial movement, and repetitive gestures, to examine how collective rituals create shared spatial and temporal frameworks across cultures. Technology functions as a tool of tracing the existing patterns of alignment and repetition to become visible.
She lives and works between London and Abu Dhabi.
