2026 · Archival pigment print of an original digital composite image on Hahnemühle German Etching, hand-finished with acrylic and metal leaf, 60 × 48 cm
Tawaf 1941 draws on archival imagery of the rare 1941 flood in Mecca, when worshippers continued to circumambulate the Kaaba despite the courtyard being submerged in water. The work reflects on devotion as an act sustained through disruption, using hand-applied acrylic and metal leaf to bring luminosity and material presence to the image.
